Mr Teo proceeds to write INCIDENCE on the board, highlighting the fact that it starts with I, and not an E. Then proceeds to spell out the E-word he was telling us about. Turns out, it was elasticity. But funny thing was that he spelt it wrongly the first time. "Elastcity".
Another round of laughs.
Mr Teo corrects himself (or tries to) by appending the I, but unfortunately, at the wrong place. Second attempt yields the world "Elasitcity".

He finally gets it right with "Elasticity".

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slowdown in the overall performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5 and then installed undesirable programs such as MLB 5.0, NFL 4.3, PGA 3.0, and NBA 3.6. Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system.

I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.What can I do?

Dear Desperate

First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an Operating System.

Try to enter the command: C:\ITHOUGHTYOULOVEDME' to download Tears 6.2, which should automatically install Guilt 3.0.
If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5,

BUT remember : overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0, or Beer 6.1.
WARNING: Beer 6.1 is a very nasty program that will create Snoring Loudly.
CAUTION: Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-law 1.0 or reinstall another Boyfriend program.

These are not supported applications and will crash Husband 1.0. In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly.

You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance.

I personally recommend Hot Food 3.0 and Lingerie 7.7.

1. T3h Frozen Throne aka tutor's table. Since it's damn cold there, being in the direct path of the aircon's blow, it's damn cold there. And since there is a chair there, hence I dub it t3h frozen throne.

according to our timetable, we end quite early each day. like perhaps before 220 if you don't take h3 maths. chances are, you don't take h3 maths anyway. sooo the lowdown on the average day would be that it's better since it ends earlier?

HELL YOU ARE WRONG. tmd they did away with scrummy pw but there's the scrummy assembly talk which i have no bloody idea what's it for. the name says it all, really. ASSembly talk. talk to my ASSembly. (okay i'm really high wth)

seems like there's almost econs on a daily basis and that's gonna suck. can you imagine ending off each day with econs tutorial? well, you'd better start imagining it, or actually you don't need to cos ITS HAPPENING. ECONOMICS DOMINATION. FINAL SAY ON EACH DAY.

monday to wednesdays can so JSAD. in case you don't understand what that means - JIA SAI AND DIE. people taking geog (ie majority) don't get 2h breaks anymore, actually 1h50 breaks because some smart spark decided to reduce walking time to 5 min and so we don't get much time in between to walk anymore.

did the campus shrink? i doubt it. but school ends earlier, i like it.

jap and tsd still get crappy deals but that's for taking weird subjects. the frenchies get the most crap out of it all because rjc hates frenchies and decided to be a jap centre. screw. which means i make the biweekly (twiceaweekly, i mean) pilgrimage to moelc on monday and wednesday..

..while sherwin sentry duties moelc on tuesdays and thursdays. frickin' frenchies, we are.

the h1 gsc and h1 ph will end later, but that's for taking h1 gsc and h1 ph. not as if you get to end later than DA FRICKIN' FRENCHIE (aka me), who knocks off at half past 7 every monday/wednesday. imagine how tired i feel. or don't bother, you're probably tired enough.

friday seems the best deal, since we rush through the periods to end at 1205. time for lunch huh. the chem lab session still fricking stays with us and that's gonna suck bad. econs lect at first block is always good time to catch up on your sleep. i heard the lecturer now is quite lenient. don't try your luck too much, though.

basically, we're busy people everyday. i think tuesday is nice because we have civics shit on tuesday first thing (ie slackk), chem lect (ie slackk), pe (ie slackk).. BREAK WOOHOO. GP talk crap session and econs is. just econs la.

wednesday is kinda fooked up because we have double maths. thursday is fooked up as well because we get almost 3h of getting frozen in the classroom. seriously whats up with timer aircon, i think this is worse than ri. we're not at the end of a bad deal, we didn't even get any part of the deal. suck the school admin who's trying to be COLD AIR MONOPOLY.

tsk take back your aircon. we don't need it now. to quote ct rep yanheng - "it says a lot when you step out of an aircon room into cool weather outside and your glasses still fogs." next thing you know you might bump into a pillar. cold aircon. no wonder the guys are all either huddling at the front (the councillors) or hibernating at the back (los and yanheng).

i think the girls sit somewhere in between, all donning their jackets. told you it was cold.

luckily our class is quite far away from staffroom (like which class isn't, the classroom block is miles away zzz). which means we can party after sch if we want. without aircon, of course. honestly to hell with the timer, let's rebel!

i think friday is still the best. followed by tuesday, slightly long but slack. thursday is where you can die for the first part but HEY at least there's no econs! after gp it's truly freedom and you've probably earned it.

now my eyelids are droopy and sugar's off my veins. i'm running out of words to say and glucose in my blood. don't ask me how that functions, i don't bloody take bio so bio's not in my blood.

so just a last few points.

Listening to my OG members talk about their classes reminded me of how I felt about 7B when I first came into the class and how I feel about it now.

I'm sad why our class can not be bonded. I'm sad at how our class isn't even technically a class. I'm sad how I don't even talk to certain people in our class on certain days.

Coming into RJ, I was hoping for a fun and bonded class. I hoped that after 2 years in JC, I would be able to look back, and decide that these 2 years have been really great and fun because I HAVE a nice class to fall back on. I hoped that I was able to enjoy coming to school BECAUSE of my class.

Well, I guess we can't have the best in all worlds.

I'm thankful for certain people in 7B which made lessons more bearable. The girls, P aul, ZY, YJ etc.

Other than that, here's to a good year ahead, and maybe, we could get bonded somehow.

WANCHEE proposes that we go and ~~crash~~ celebrate our very favouritest econs teacher's wedding this saturday!! its gonna be held at swissotel yup, and it would be nice if we as a class could go show him some support. what's more it will be LOW COST and HIGH ENTERTAINMENT VALUE.

a true economist won't want to miss out on this. utility level up and positive externalities to be taken from his wedding! soooooo confirm attendance asap! we can hold this as a post-outing kinda thing. like a nice relaxing weekend after our class outing on thurs/fri. OH YEA.

Just some reminders for PW OP tmr. =)

Report at 7.30am (for everyone), different venues, I only know my group's at A48, don't know about the rest.

Wear proper school uniform! No slippers, for girls tie up your hair etc and boys uh... just be neat I guess.

Remember to bring:

1) Your powerpoint!
2) Script
3) Entry Proof (Yes go and dig it out if you forgotten about it already)
4) Identification card

Anyway, I just found this game by M&Ms, kinda cool. You're supposed to find 50 movie titles in the picture. I took like 25 minutes + to finish it, with some help =P It's quite fun lar, if you're bored. The soundtrack gets a little annoying after a while though. Just as my group was finishing our OP for PW, we got bored and Yan Fen started playing minesweeper. This spurred on Yanheng to suggest to look for minesweeper cheats. And then to solitare cheats.

Now a very cool trick.

Trick number1: To finish game quickly.

Open solitare. Click alt, shift and 2.

Tada. Game finish.

Trick number 2: To move card to illegal position.

Open solitare. Move card to legal position and click esc without letting go of mouse click. Then click on any random card. There you go, card moved to illegal position.

HOHO. You could tell how bored we were. Solitare and Minesweeper are ultimate addictive no-brainer, no-lifer games. But there are fun.

Check this out. The STOMP (lol) School-U design competition has drawn in some very amusing entries, plus some really good ones. Go there for a good laugh if you're free. Anyway, I've distilled some gems from the first thirtysomething entries for your enjoyment.
First up, strange things people say. The third one was ultimately hilarious: the tree stages of life: birth, middle age and death.

Anyway, next up some saratorical oddities (lol@black shiny shoes). The really psyched-out black-red guy's u was kinda cool, but I wouldn't wear it.

And this dude obsessed with unions. ("Girly character" is rather questionable)

And some "hmm"s raised. Do note for the second picture, the hood is the only thing that's waterproof on the uniform. Go figure.

And don't worry, guys are muched maligned too. Yup a pink tie for the guys.

More stuff. Tuesday is day against DRM, and as everyone knows, DRM is BAD FOR YOU AND YOUR MUSIC. But seriously enough, digital rights/restrictions management is putting your rights as a user at risk, and basically giving the control of your music, your software and your computer into the hands of the corporations who advocate DRM.
You guys may or may not be aware of how this whole DRM thing started to come to light in 2005 when Sony released a number of rootkit infected music CDs that restricted your ability to copy and transfer music ripped from the CD by means of a programme, which conveniently sends info on your computer to Sony (noSy if you want) while it does that.
You can also see this at work in your iPod (if you have one). Users are restricted from transferring music files from the iPod to other non-Apple devices, locking in users to Apple products. Ditto for stuff downloaded from the iTunes store.
More recently, Microsoft's new Zune mp3 player would disallow over-the-air transferred music from being played more than thrice, and likewise with the new Windows Media Player 11.
Defective by Design, a movement against DRM, puts it in more elegant words.

What does this mean for the future? No fair use. No purchase and resell. No private copies. No sharing. No backup. No swapping. No mix tapes. No privacy. No ownership. No commons. No control over our computers. No control over our electronic devices. The conversion of our homes into apparatus to monitor our interaction with their copyrighted works.

Yup. Get something for your blog or make a public statement, or spread the word. Whatever, DRM sucks and you know it.

Now, we all know that lectures = boring = should pon. Whatmore it's PW, and we all know how to speak and deliver presentations, right? If not also still can talk and make some noise and stand straight. Good enough to be a presenter la. Most people are liddat anyway. At worst, if dunno also just ask around for the information from our friends who guai guai go for the lecture.

The point I'm trying to make here is lets mass pon! IMSE.

Can do so by:

#1) Bribing Tania (our PW rep in case you didn't know yet) to take our attendance although we're not there. But this means she can't ponteng. Haha ponTENG.

#2) Don't have to bribe Tania but tell her to take our attendance and if she doesn't, we don't friend her.

#3) Tania tell Dhillon that she's not coming coz she's sick so out of the disorder, no attendance was taken and we all claim that we attended the lecture just that attendance wasn't taken and we were all dispersed such that we didn't know who came and who didn't.

I think the third is the most feasible coz we don't have to fork out money to pay for the bribe. Also it's the most easy to use coz in the chaos of the Hall, it's almost impossible to find our class.

And you may ask 'pon for what? As if got anything more interesting to do'. Oh boy there are lots of things one can do in school to spend one's freetime. Ask Wan Chee, Cheng Wei, Yan Fen, and me about that man... I think origami is fun! Hmph, rearranging of furniture too. And perhaps flying origami too.

And if that doesn't excite you yet, how about playing with cutter and cutting stuff? Consider it 'redecorating' a place. Some places require a more radical change to the ornaments.

...you probably won't understand what the heck am I saying. But you can find out and take part in it.

No life.

ps. It's amazing how the word 'ponteng' ended up to be shortened to 'pon'. Singaporeans and your ingenuinity. I like.
