LOL. Econs today was damn hilarious. It all started when...
Mr JTeo was asking about why CPI didn't rise with implementation of the GST in '93.
Mr Teo: What's the E-word?
Huihui, Chengwei, Yanfen: INCIDENCE!!!!
7B is stunned for a second
7B laughs like some bomb for the next few minutes.
Paul: There's more than one in every class! (Follow up on a comment Mr Teo made a few minutes earlier.)
Mr Teo proceeds to write INCIDENCE on the board, highlighting the fact that it starts with I, and not an E. Then proceeds to spell out the E-word he was telling us about. Turns out, it was elasticity. But funny thing was that he spelt it wrongly the first time. "Elastcity".
Another round of laughs.
Mr Teo corrects himself (or tries to) by appending the I, but unfortunately, at the wrong place. Second attempt yields the world "Elasitcity".
More laughs.
He finally gets it right with "Elasticity".
Paul (to CW): There's more than one in every class.
Amusing :D
It might be noted that when writing the word "incidence" on the board a little while later, he spelt it as "encidence", but quickly changed to to "incidence" before too many people noticed.
Whee. Econs is somewhat amusing.
